Slow down.....

Not much going on in the shop right now.  There is too much to do outside as we begin the transition from summer to fall.  Fall is my favorite time of the year.  The only thing that doesn't make it perfect, is that winter follows.  Winter allows me to do more in the shop, but I can't get outside much.....  what a paradox.

Still working on the prototype cutting board and the two orders for the subway brick board.  Will get back to the shop this week and especially weekend!  Looking forward to it.   Tom

What going on in Tom's shop.....

My daughter, son-in-law, and grandson are in for a visit, so there hasn't been much shop time over the last week. I'm still finishing up a cutting board for a friend that this a new design for me, so the board will be a prototype. We'll see how it turns out and if I'll make more. I'll post some pictures along the way.....

I also continue to work on my first bowl. I had a scrap piece of hard maple that had a very interesting grain pattern. I wouldn't have used it on any cutting board, so I though I'd try my hand at making it into a bowl..... It's been taking some time, because the name is correct..... it's really hard maple! I'll post pics of this too.
